Peter Stumpp (The Werewolf of Bedburg)
Episode Bio
Lets say you are playing a game where you must draw a piece of a paper at random from a hat. On those pieces of papers are qualities or characteristics and you must proceed with describing a historical person that fits the trait that you've chosen. Who would you begin to recount if you drew the unforeseen attribute of werewolfery? What about a serial rapist? Could you narrate to your audience an infamous murderer? Name someone who practices black magic or an individual who struck a deal with the devil? Look no further than to the infamous, Peter Stumpp. Pushing aside his questionable basis in reality and the facts and lies about this monster of a man, Peter Stumpp can be labeled as one of the most profane purveyors of evil that the world has ever seen for all of the aforementioned features. A real life horror movie. Possibly, one of the few "real" monsters that we've covered on this show. We here at TFR have bestowed the (not so) great title of "Jackalope of All Trades" to the fabled and notorious, Peter Stumpp for the, at times, wild and ridiculous life story. If you would like to learn more about this wicked Peter... ;) …and our thoughts on this ill-fated tale then have yourself a listen! Stay safe and healthy out there, everyone!
