Matthew, Cassandra, and Josh are not only long-time friends since high school with a shared interest in unexplained phenomena, but are also your co-hosts that make up The Farthest Reaches, a podcast about high strangeness that researches topics from across the entire fortean spectrum. Weaponizing our minds in order to unearth secrets far and wide, we investigate anomalous events which seem to challenge the boundaries of accepted scientific knowledge. We hope to bring together enthusiasts of the paranormal from all over the world that want to be a part of the expedition.

Upon meeting one another, Matthew and Josh instantly became friends once their shared interest in the paranormal was realized. The two have had their fair share of strange experiences, from unidentified lights in the sky to disembodied voices, which led them even further down this path in search of an explanation. After years of accumulating stories, both first and secondhand accounts, the two decided to start a podcast and thus The Farthest Reaches was born on Halloween, in 2019. How original?

As stated above, Matthew and Cassandra met in high school. They started dating shortly after and then 8 years later the two would marry and are still going strong to this day! One aspect of their relationship that really clicked was their love for the weird and wicked. Horror movies, science fiction novels, murder documentaries, etc. Cassandra was brought onto the podcast in early 2021 after the departure of a past co-host and now has a permanent seat. She brings an open mind, a woman’s perspective, and a strange sense of humor to the table.
